Stayed in the holiday cottage recently. It was an amazing experience with beautiful lake view & calming walks. Would highly recommend for a relaxing break from hectic life.

Very beautiful and comfortable place. We got the king lake view and it was nice. Only downsides were that our hot water went halfway through the night so we had cold baths and the balcony was full of bird poop, including on one of the chairs. These weren't anything bad hough as we got chairs from inside to sit on outside which was nicer. The breakfast was fab and lots of choices and the bed itself was so comfy

Very nice place, we had afternoon tea for two, which was good and plenty of it. Service was good. Only let down was the tea, not the best brand or even enough tea bags for a bit pot either.

Incredibly underwhelming. Disappointing service in Blossoms restaurant Saturday evening. Left waiting for drinks for 45mins and apart from 1 check to see if the meal was OK not 1 member of staff asked if we needed drinks or dessert menu. Food was OK, nothing special considering the prices. Room amazing - view fantastic. The odd usual niggle - water not draining in shower, limited hot water and bedside lamp not working. Spa - what spa? Under renovation, there is no signage and entrance through a back door. Cold and uninviting. Cancelled treatment as money better spent elsewhere. Would I come back? No. Shame as it's a beautiful setting.

It's a stunning location, with beautiful nature surrounding this place.. However, this is seriously hindered by the fact this site is not Wheelchair friendly, steep hills, stairs to the lodge cabins, restaurant and sports centre.. There is no allowance for visitors who are limited in mobility.. The other issues I will raise is the poorly kept golf course, bowls courts, and crazy golf court.. From overgrown grass on the golf course, to leafs, and rabbit poo on the crazy golf course, to weeds in the French bowls court.. Some of the footpaths between the A frame lodges are dark (poorly lite for night time strolls) some stair tiles are not marked white painted markings and are loose tiles.. My 3rd visit as not improved in the past 2 years I visited this place...

Un hôtel qui présente de jolies photos sur son site et sur booking. La réalité est bien différente, surtout si vous venez avec un chien, vous serez relégués à une chambre sans vue, avec accès direct sur la route…. À côté des locaux techniques… dommage car il est logé dans un cadre verdoyant. N’essayez pas non plus les grands lodges pour plusieurs personnes. La décoration et le mobilier datent de plus de 20 ans, sentent l’humidité et la poussière. Le personnel n’est pas accueillant du tout. Le petit déjeuner est un buffet qui n’est pas à la hauteur d’un 4 étoiles. La piscine est d’une autre époque, un accès depuis la rue en direct, où l’on vous demande d’enlever vos chaussures directement à côté du bassin avant d’accéder aux vestiaires, mal entretenue et sale. Pour finir, des surcoûts pratiqués en plus du prix validé avec booking. Je déconseille fortement.

Nice reception staff Table tennis available Pool was rather cold However after a couple minutes got used to water temperature And pool had many floats available for kids.

Very unhappy. We came here for refreshments after 5 mile tour the day of my birthday. There is no any other option to buy drinks or food so we had to go here. At the time we arrived there was one more table waiting for waitress to order. After 50 minutes of watching 3 waitresses doing everything just no serving customers we had to go inside and order inside the hotel … we got no any apology for waiting 50 minutes at 30 degrees for stupid water… they all looked like noone even know how to process order … we asked for receipt and received just card payment confirmation… We ordered sharing plate for 25.50£ … we expected it might be matching at least 2 portions but the size of this super expensive meal was for one person … and I am not talking about cooking level of this dish… I am quite tolerant person but this place is really something … We left so upset …

Enjoy going swimming pre booked then to restaurant for coffee. Staff very friendly always have a minute for chat whilst taking order. Covid Safe and eat out to help out in October, Sunday to Friday. 😀

Very thoughtful staff. They have sectioned off the pool so that we could swim in small groups. Very enjoyable in difficult circumstances.

Stayed for four days at the hotel, and used the pool every day. At 22m, there is plenty of length for a proper swim, and I found it to be not too crowded, apart from just after the children's swimming lesson slot. I even spent a very serene half hour with the pool to myself. In all, 5.5 miles over the time I was there. If I lived locally, I'd become a member!
